Cloud and Aerosol Sciences Laboratory; fundamental studies of aerosol generation, measurement of physical and chemical properties, and evolution in the atmosphere; current emphasis on the exhaust emissions from jet and rocket engines, with measurement campaigns conducted in situ with airborne facilities, in ground-based facilities in engine test stands, combustor rigs, altitude chambers, and in laboratory combustion facilities; the laboratory has an interdisciplinary flavor with strong interactions with chemistry and engineering.
